This session will explain the differences between the SAT and ACT exams, the benefits and obstacles of various accommodations, and the required documentation for accommodation requests. Since some colleges are opting out of this requirement, the presenter will discuss what some colleges expect in place of these exams.

- This workshop reviewed the federal mandates for students with disabilities as they move from the public or private school setting to college or employment; also suggestions for making the transition smooth and successful
- This workshop focused on helping the educational consultant prepare their students with disabilities for college by teaching and supporting self-advocacy skills; practical suggestions
- This workshop will explain the differences in high school and college accommodations, the types of services and programs available in colleges for students with learning disabilities, ADHD, mobility issues, and other disability types, and ways for them to plan ahead for the college experience.
